End-of-Life Doula Work

Fear is a natural response to the end of life, as is a desire to find meaning and leave behind a legacy. Create a mindful approach to dying, ease anxiety, and even find joy in transition.

A death doula empowers a dying person and their family to find meaning and sacredness in death through companionship, mentorship, and non-medical assistance.

We’ll determine together what this care looks like. For the dying person, a death doula may provide in-person or virtual companionship. For families, she is available as a resource. Death is a profound moment of life—a doula helps to ensure this sanctity.

My doula work includes:

  • Active listening and the creation of legacy / remembrance projects (ie: Stories, videos, memory boxes, etc.)

  • Counsel and help coordinating meaningful goodbyes

  • Uniquely-tailored rituals and mindfulness techniques for both the dying and family

  • Facilitating communication with hospice

  • Coordination with funeral care, including natural care and the National Home Funerals Alliance

Rates are entirely dependent upon a person’s unique plan of care.
